Frank Summers set to raise funds for ARI Acute Stroke Unit
On 17 September our resident
M&A Director, Frank Summers, will join a group of 30 to walk an 18 mile
stretch in aid of the Acute Unit at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
Frank has organised this
challenge to bring together friends and family as they unite to raise money in
memory of their close friend Steven
Nicol, who sadly died of a stroke last year, aged 45.
The group, who will be walking along Aberdeen’s Deeside Way,
from Banchory to Countesswells, will celebrate at the finish line with a family
BBQ.
Frank said: “This is the first
event we have arranged in memory of Steven; he was a larger than life character and a good friend to so many. We
have people coming from as far as Houston and Brussels to join us along the
way, and I am incredibly moved by the support we’ve received.
“We initially planned to raise
£1,000 but are currently sitting at £2,193, so a huge thank you to all who have
played a part in reaching this amazing total so far.”
