L-R: Stuart Ferguson, FrontRow Chief Executive; Gary Smart, Well-Centric CEO; Craig Feherty, Well-SENSE CEO and Alasdair Fergusson, ClearWELL Managing Director
FrontRow Energy Technology Group
Limited has announced the appointment of three senior executives to lead its group
companies as they embark upon ambitious growth plans.
The Aberdeen based oil and gas
services group has appointed Alasdair Fergusson, previously Business Manager
for Europe and Africa, Production Technologies at Schlumberger, to the newly
created Managing Director position for ClearWELL Oilfield Solutions.
FrontRow acquired 50% of
ClearWELL from its existing parent company, MSL Oilfield Solutions, in May 2017
and outlined plans to increase the number of its innovative scale prevention
units in the field by 400%. With his background in growing novel product lines and
prior experience managing ClearWELL during its time as a Weatherford company,
Alasdair’s track record places him in an ideal position to help drive business
growth into the future.
Meanwhile Gary Smart, former CEO
at Tendeka, brings more than 30 years industry experience in commercial and
operational management to late life well integrity specialist, Well-Centric. He
joins as CEO, where he will lead the team as the company looks to fulfil its
significant growth potential over the coming years. With a strong engineering
background and extensive management experience, Gary’s skillset was
particularly sought after to drive Well-Centric through its next phase of
growth.
Craig Feherty also joins
Well-SENSE from GE Oil and Gas, where he was Product Line Director for Wireline
Products. Craig managed a portfolio of technologies designed to measure
downhole well conditions via sensors and electro-mechanical intervention tools
deployed on wireline cable. In the newly created CEO role, Craig will work
closely with Well-SENSE founder Dan Purkis, providing strategic direction for
the company as it moves further into commercialisation of its Fibre Line
Intervention technology (FLI).
The trio bring many years of
valuable industry experience to FrontRow. Under their leadership, it is
expected that all three companies will experience a high level of growth. With
their headquarters anchored within FrontRow’s Energy Technology Centre in
Aberdeen, this can only mean good things for the local economy as investment in
facilities and job creation look likely to follow. The wider oil and gas
industry is also set to benefit through a shared focus on cost reduction alongside
new technology development.
Stuart Ferguson, chief executive
at FrontRow said: “We are very pleased that Alasdair, Gary and Craig have
joined the team, and we’re excited about the experience and fresh perspective
they will bring to each of our group companies, as well as the wider FrontRow
group.
“With the oil and gas industry
continually looking to enhance production and extend asset life, whilst
lowering operational costs, developing solutions to this challenge is
absolutely central to FrontRow. There is an opportunity here to create
technologies which will change the face of the industry and how it operates,
and we want to ensure our group companies step up to the plate.
“Attracting these high calibre individuals has been highly encouraging for us, and not only demonstrates the strong reputation FrontRow has already built, but also highlights the demonstrable growth potential of each company. We have taken time to ensure that we recruited the very best talent to lead our group companies and these appointments are a
tremendous boost to our team.”
